How to Ground Yourself in 60 Seconds Before an Event Starts

April 20, 20261 min read

Before an event starts, there’s often a moment where everything feels intense.

Your mind is running. Your body is alert.

This is where a quick reset can make a major difference.

The 60-Second Reset

Close your eyes

Inhale slowly through your nose (4 seconds)

Exhale longer through your nose (6–8 seconds)

Repeat 5 times

Why It Works

This tells your nervous system:
“You’re safe. You can slow down. You can release the pressure.”

And it actually releases.

This helps your brain work better and YOU feel better!

When to Use It

Right before doors open

Before speaking with clients

When you feel overwhelmed

When things go wrong

This simple 60-Second Rest can shift your entire state.
